You only need them if you have had problems with the police and have a record.  If no record exists then no Police Certificates are needed.

But if you indeed do need them, I believe the police station or the courthouse can give you those.

Were they just speeding tickets or was he charged with something else?

Traffic infractions such as speeding tickets don´t require the police certificates.  If he was also charged with DUI or driving without a license or something more severe then he does.  But if it was only speeding then he does not.

My husband had a speeding ticket and we didn´t need one.

You should be able to go and get them, but each state and county/city is different, so check first.

He got pulled over for racing but got more tickets for no licence and then got put in jail but bailed himself out and he went to court and everything and its dropped down to a class C which is like a speeding ticket. He has no DUI or DWI and no felonies.

Ohh ok, then he will need them  even though the charges were dropped, since he was incarcerated and was driving without a license.

Make sure you have where fines were paid (if any) and that the charges were dropped down to just speeding.

Do you Usually get backlogged if you do not have enough evidence to support your hardships or is it basically your hardships they look at? How extreme do they need to be?

They look at your hardships and evidence.  You must have evidence to back up each hardship you are claiming.

Remember, they want EXTREME hardship.  So whatever you have, even if you think it is minor, USE IT!!  If you don´t necessarily have a illness, take care of somone, etc.  Many people have been approved with a bunch of minor hardships which in a whole make the case extreme.  However, a lot of cases that don´t have something SEVERE as the main hardship are backlogged, but not all.

You can use financial problems, although they do not consider financial problems in and of themselves an extreme hardship.

Make sure that each claim you have shows that you cannot move to Mexico and why you need your husband in the states with you.

When you get a rough draft of your HSL post it on the forum for the members to critique!  They give great feedback and can tell you what needs to be added or what needs to be taken out.  It´s great constructive criticism.

If you don´t mind me asking, where are you in the process??

I dont mind at all! We just received the third packet so now we are gathering all of that information and then our lawyer is mailing that off and then we wait for our letter of our interview date!
Our case is not too complicated, my husband came here with his parents when he was nine years old. And he has been here all his life he has never left or tried to leave. In 2005-2006 he got some tickets for racing and got arrested but he bailed himself out. And we have all the certified papers stating that everything is a class C misdemenor. And that is like just a speeding ticket. And i have been getting everything i can think of for evidence. My hardships are my health issues, i have annxiety attacks along with depression. And with that i have medical records since my seventh grade year, and im now 22 years old. I have a recent letter from my doctor and she explained that she has just upped my anti-depressant from 20 mg to 40 mg. I have neck issues, a degenerative disk with a compressing nerve + a letter from my chiroprator. Since my neck issues i have migraines with i have a prescriptions for muscle relaxers for. I also take about my education. And i have letters from my parents who are divorced stating they cannot support me because of their money issues, and my mother has major medical issues. And i would have no way of staying in our apartment because i cannot afford it. Which i will have billsand ect for evidence of that.
What do you think of our case?

It will be a plus that your hubby was brought here at the age of nine. You should mention that towards the beginning of your hardship letter.
